Welcome to the Porthmadog Rotary Club.
We
meet on Monday evenings at 7.00 for 7.30 at the Golden Fleece Inn in
Tremadog. President: Patrick Fisher We are a small and friendly club of around 18 members with a wide range of age and experience covering many interests. Like other Rotarians the world over we get involved in a variety of activities and projects aimed at improving life for others in our local and world community.
The Club meets every Monday at 7.00 pm for 7:30 for a meal
at The Golden Fleece Inn at Tremadog. We are active in the local community, holding events such as concerts and fun days which benefit the people in the area and also raise funds for projects further afield. Once a year we participate in the Rotary Kids Out programme taking disadvantaged children out for a day of entertainment. We actively support a number of local organisations in their work: Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice, Ysgol Hafod Lôn special school, North Wales Air Ambulance and many others. We support Rotary’s world-wide projects such as the drive to eliminate Polio, and we respond to calls for help, both locally and when there are world disasters such as the Tsunami or major earthquakes. We welcome enquiries from anybody, male or female, who feels they would enjoy and could contribute to both the social and community aspects of the Club. If you are a visiting Rotarian or a prospective member we promise you a warm welcome at our meetings. If you would like to attend as a visitor please phone the Secretary, Richard Harrison, on 01766 512165 to get details of the next meeting and we will look forward to welcoming you.
